naveden tudi fotografski studio: Rydzewski Studio, 273 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA.
To fotografijo 5 Starešiničev (prvi z leve je moj praded) sem nedavno že objavilia in ji priložila skoraj poltisočletno (5-stoletno) zgodovino izredno razvejenega rodu Starešiničev na Preloki (gl. TUKAJ).

Exactly on this day 107 years ago in America
Exactly on this day 100 and 7 years ago (only it was Thursday then, but today there
is one more day - Friday!) this photograph was taken with the five brothers Starešinič in
Pittsburgh, where all five went, as we say, "with their bellies for bread".
After the family meeting/gathering ('sestanek') they went – dressed in their best – to the photography studio on Penn Avenue, which was, and still is, Pittsburgh's main artery.
They "lined up" by age for the photo shoot. And the back of the photograph reads: "For our mother and the whole family in Preloka" (Their father had already passed away at that time.)
The photo is mounted on a 35 × 30 cm piece of hard brown cardboard, proudly bearing the studio’s name: Rydzewski Studio, 273 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA.
Recently, I shared this photo of the 5 brothers (the first from the left is my great-grandfather) and attached to it the almost half a thousand years of history (5 centuries) with the rich history spanning of the extensive Staresinič family from Preloka. You can read more about it HERE.
The article is also available in English. In fact, today, after more than hundred years, there are many, many more Starešinič decendances spread far and wide across the globe, then in native Preloka itself.
